The denarius (DEN)
Denier is the unit of measurement used in textiles. It corresponds to a mass of 1 gram for 9,000 meters of fiber.
This means that a 20 DEN pantyhose weighs 20 grams for 9,000 meters of fiber and a 40 DEN pantyhose weighs 40 grams for 9,000 meters of fiber, and so on ...
The higher the number of DENs; the thicker and more opaque the pantyhose, while conversely, the smaller the number of DENs; the thinner and more transparent the pantyhose.
