Description
Ludwig style Model #P-1610CP Diamond Cover Plate. When the Ludwig P1610-D double tom bracket is removed from the top of a bass drum, there are 5 holes exposed: 4 for the carriage bolts, and one big hole for the pipe. This P-1610-CP is a chrome plated steel "cover plate" designed to fit, SOLELY and EXCLUSIVELY, over those exposed holes and utilizing the original 4 holes in the shell (and carriage bolts) ...and therefore cover the same exact "footprint" as the P1610-D double tom bracket. This is a cosmetically clean way of concealing the 5 unsightly holes. Ludwig NEVER made such a plate ...but Rogers did, and that's where I got the idea for it!This is a newly manufactured part ...not salvaged from something else. It's not misidentified, or mislabeled as something it's not ...(such as the backing plate used inside Slingerland tom toms ...which does LOOK similar). The plate itself is square, although it is set on point, hence the term "diamond plate". The C/C hole dimensions are 2 &1/8" (as was the P1610-D bracket). If you don't have a Ludwig drum set with a P1610-D bracket that has been removed, then this is not what you want! Look at the pictures closely. The P1610-D bracket that is shown is NOT part of the auction and is NOT included. It is for reference purposes only to show what the COVER PLATE would replace. ( Mounting hardware sold separately. )
