This item in my EBAY store is a DUGAN  "MAPLE LEAF"  BLACK AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS HANDLED WATER PITCHER.   I call this black amethyst carnival glass because when I hold this pitcher up into the direct sun you can hardly see the amethyst color in this glass pitcher, you surely can have your opinion, we all know that there are numerous shades of amethyst;   This Dugan "MAPLE LEAF black amethyst carnival glass handled water pitcher is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom, this "MAPLE LEAF" pitcher is just the way this pitcher left the DUGAN-DIAMOND GLASS COMPANY many years ago that is in beautiful condition having NO cracks, scratches, and no glass staining, but there is a tiny piece of missing glass down near the bottom of this pitcher where the wavy line of glass is in this pattern that is near a "maple leaf", this is the only issue that is hardly noticeable and I've taken this into consideration when I've priced this item to sell, and price sells anything for a dark good pattern water pitcher, my photos do show this to you but any questions at all please e-mail me;   There is no damage, not even a pin head to any of the three "MAPLE LEAFS" that surround this pitcher;   Folks according to the condition of this pitcher at this time, this pitcher was truely cherrished by the couple of people who have once owned this beauty according to the condition this "MAPLE LEAF" pitcher remains in today;   I may add that this DUGAN BLACK AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS "  MAPLE LEAF"  HANDLED WATER PITCHER
is an early DUGAN vintage antique carnival glass "MAPLE LEAF" pitcher that has been used and displayed over many years, and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition;
There is NO wear to any of the three "MAPLE LEAFS" that surround this water pitcher, the handle is pressed into the pattern and is NOT applied, being, there are NO heat checks or cracks anywhere around this handle either at the top of this handle or at the bottom of this handle, it did not matter which or what angle I held this beauty to photograph the COLOR iridescence was always there and that is what carnival glass is all about, COLOR;   I will also add that this DUGAN beautiful black amethyst "MAPLE LEAF" pitcher that I have here does have those early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass making process having your stress marks, straw marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen in early carnival glass, these characteristics are from the production of this beautiful "MAPLE LEAF" black amethyst carnival glass pitcher and is NOT considered damage;   This much sought after DUGAN "MAPLE LEAF" pattern can be seen and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by,"Edwards & Carwile" a book on carnival glass the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS  7th Edition" on page #234;   Numerous (all) photos were taken outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass iridescence & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.   When using a cell phone or mobile device please click on "see full description" to see more photos and measurements;   Insurance is bought at the USPS at the time of shipment to you, the cost is .25 for the shipping and .75 for the insurance.   All stickers on MY Dugan  "MAPLE LEAF"  handled water pitcher sent to you must remain on MY Dugan  "MAPLE LEAF"  handled water pitcher for any glass return, NO exceptions!             Inventory #788Z             8/29/2018                  Please read my BIO on my NEW web site.                Will ship International mail when Buyer request shipping cost thru EBAY.
